Yes, There Will Be A Next-Gen Nissan Z – As Long As People Want One

Nissan is committed to keeping the Z around as long as there is a demand for it
The retro-styled Nissan Z has come to replace the 370Z after more than a decade on the market, and it’s a worthy successor.
It’s the first Z with forced induction in two decades, and it represents an increase of 68 horsepower and 80 pound-feet of torque over the 370Z
With this in mind, people are understandably asking whether or not this is the last generation of the Z car, and now we have an answer
Powered by a twin-turbo, 3.0-liter V-6, the Nissan Z delivers a cool 400 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque
Nissan’s Chief Operating Officer, Ashwani Gupta, told Motor Trend that Nissan “will definitely continue with it,” but only if there is a demand for it.
So, if the new Z doesn’t see a lot of attention over the next few years, there’s a good chance the Z will be discontinued at the end of its lifecycle.
If you think the Z’s heritage will prevent that from happening, just ask Europe – the entire market is void of the new Z.
For now, you can expect the 2023 Nissan Z to go on sale sometime in early 2022 as a 2023 model with a price somewhere in the $40,000 range.
